| Timber Engineering Consultancy International Truss Systems provides a full design service, including truss design and estimates, the preparation of working drawings, calculations and site inspections where required. Customer Services Department Day-to-day queries are handled by this department to assist estimators with software queries as opposed to engineering problems. Our Customer Services Department also carries out training on the software for new and existing customers. See "Software and Technical Support". Software and Technical Support Our computer software program, Tri-Design 3000 is the result of over 30 years of development by Gang-Nail Systems UK, our sister company and also through the formation of an independent research and development arm, Elecoplc Technology, which ensures that all the nailplate companies in the Elecoplc Group world-wide maintain their competitive edge through the very latest technology. We provide full training on the software package. Training programs take place on a regular basis. The training covers all aspects of estimating, production, worksheets and presentation. Our clients are linked via modems in their computers in order to ensure that immediate assistance can be provided by accessing the clients computers from our offices. This avoids unnecessary delays in response. Mechanical Department We maintain a mechanical division, which handles the development, manufacture and maintenance of truss making equipment and associated machinery as well as a wide range of spares for all types of truss making equipment. ITS is the only nailplate system supplier in the country to manufacture and maintain all types of truss plant machinery. Marketing Department From inception our marketing department embarked on comprehensive marketing exposure to the building industry and professional practices. Feasibility designs and costings are done on large and complex structures and competitive quotations for the manufacture, supply and erection are obtained through our licensed truss fabricators who are situated countrywide (see regional map of South Africa, which indicates the locations of our truss plants). |
